DATE: May 18, 2007. LOCATION: London, England. SUBJECT: Nelson's Column at Trafalgar Square. Close-up of the frieze depicting the moment at the Battle of Trafalgar when Lord Nelson is shot by the French Sniper at the base of Nelson's Column. Nelson would be the person who can sort-of see being carried in the upper right-hand corner. The full famous signal is, of course, 'England expects that every man will do his duty'. Slight blue tint added in Photoshop. |
