COTT -- Theresa Retro

FULLVIEW PLEASE. Also, I think this is the best piece of fanart I've ever done, although that's not saying much at all. At the same time, I've never drawn or coloured this way before, so it's not too bad for a first time effort, I think.

Yesterday or thereabouts, I was browsing the galleries of Bruce Tim when I thought it would be kind of fun to do a retro vector-ish picture, kind of link some of the things you might see on GettyImages.com or those awful women's lifestyle magazines about fashion you can't afford anyway. Just for fun, I thought it'd be neat to do it with a 'Class of the Titans' character, and really, there aren't many that can be drawn this way without looking stupid. So Theresa it was!

The original sketch was done with a gold pencil on regular computer paper. The base colours in Photoshop were added using the Pen Tool (set to shape vectors). Since she has bangs that go in front of her face, yet hair above the shoulders that goes behind, that was kind of tricky, so the hair had to be split into more parts that you may think there are. The shadows and highlights were then added using the Pen Tool again, but set to Vector Paths and using Stroke Path to give the lines more variation in weight. Many thanks to [link] for the tips, since I'm a Pen Tool novice. And yes, she is holding nunchucks, even though they don't look anything like them.

I may try doing this kind of thing again with Atlanta, but knowing me, this was one of those one-time things that I'll never be able to replicate, at least well.
